6.3.1 Connecting the pneumatic system
Notes
• Depending on the product variant, observe the pneumatic flow direction.
• Comply with the limits (accident prevention, material protection). See
g 13. Technical
data.
• Seal thread connections with suitable sealing materials. Sealing material must
not penetrate into the interior of the sensor (HF variant only).
WARNING! Installation of the device outside the specified process tempera-
ture and/ or ambient temperature poses a safety risk due to potential leakage
regardless of the operating state (accident prevention).
Assembly options
• Assembly with mounting bracket: see g Fig. 4.
• Assembly with block assembly kit and air preparation unit: see g Fig. 5.
• Assembly with block assembly kit (without air preparation unit): see g Fig. 6.
Procedure
Assembly option with mounting bracket
1. Align the flow sensor.
2. Mount the device combination or flow sensor with a mounting bracket.
3. Pressurize the line section.
4. Check the installation for tightness and correct functioning.

6.3.2 Connecting the electrical system
Before you start connecting the electrical system, familiarize yourself with the
protective measures (see section
The variant with IO-Link features one of the following options:
• Two switch outputs
• One IO-Link communication
• Two analog outputs
The switch outputs at contacts 5 and 4 can be used as type NO, NC and wired ac-
cordingly (see section
g 13. Technical
Depending on the variant, the flow sensor has one of the following connections
for power supply and outputs at the top:
• IO-Link variant:
5-pin M12x1 port. See section
• Ethernet variant:
8-pin M12x1 port. See section
Notes
• Use AVENTICS series CON-RD, M12x1 connecting cables for connection.
