INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE
A1 GENERAL INFORMATION
A1.1 Purpose of Bravo, BravoDUE and BravoCALOR
The devices covered in this manual are cleaning (Bravo and BravoCALOR) and self-cleaning (BravoDUE)
protective mechanical filters with a manually operated flushing system, equipped with a filter screen and
designed for the filtration of drinking water. The devices are not water purifiers or drinking water treatment
systems.
Bravo and BravoDUE. Filtration of cold water (water temperature up to 30°C) for human consumption
(compliant with Legislative Decree 31/01).
BravoCALOR. Filtration of hot or cold water (water temperature up to 90°C) for human consumption
(compliant with Legislative Decree 31/01). Filtration of water not intended for human consumption.
Protection of the water distribution system and pipes from damage caused by small quantities of foreign
bodies such as stone fragments, flakes of rust and other oxides, metal fragments, etc.
Removal of solid bodies from the household system (e.g., stone fragments, flakes of rust) up to a maximum
size of 2 mm.
Filtration of water not intended for human consumption (except BravoCALOR).
Removal of silt, large amounts of sand or solids (over 2 mm).
Filtration of water containing chemicals (solvents, oils, acids, caustic substances) or chemical solutions.
Filtration of closed circuit water.
Filtration of water outside the prescribed temperature and pressure limits (see Technical Data).
Filtration of water with non-compliant or unknown microbiological parameters.
Any use other than those specified in this document.

A1.4 Operation
Bravo
Filtration from the inside to the outside of the cartridge. Cleaning is easy and quick, and requires only opening
of the foot drain for a sufficient time to completely remove the dirt from the bowl (high-speed draining system).
This simple operation allows discharging impurities in suspension in the water and an effective cleaning of the
filter cartridge. BRAVO can be easily removed to facilitate cleaning and maintenance. Made with a durable brass
head resistant to the typical system wear and tear that can lead to the breakage of plastic heads.The bowl, with
an incorporated drain valve, is made of high-strength polyamide (maximum pressure 12 bar). The cartridge is
made of stainless steel and fixed to a bushing with an o-ring seal. The special cartridge is resistant to pressure
shock in order to prevent deformation or crushing. BRAVO is supplied with a plastic key for opening the filter.
BravoDUE
Filtration from the inside to the outside of the cartridge. The high-speed draining system is activated manually
by opening the foot valve. Cleaning is easy and quick, and requires only opening of the foot drain for a sufficient
time to completely remove the dirt from the bowl (high-speed draining system). This simple operation allows
discharging impurities in suspension in the water and an effective cleaning of the filter cartridge. BravoDUE can
be easily removed to facilitate cleaning and maintenance. It has a compact size and handles high flow rates with
low pressure loss. BravoDUE is equipped with a check valve to prevent the backflow of plant water to the
distribution system. Made with a plastic head and brass connection plate resistant to typical plant stresses, which
