Using the parking aid
CAUTION! Risk of injury
If the signal tone first accelerates and then slows down when maneuvering, this may indicate that the ob-
stacle has moved into the blind spot of the sensors.
• Stop the vehicle immediately, get out of the vehicle and investigate the situation.
• Ensure that there is no obstacle in the blind spot of the sensors.
CAUTION! Risk of injury
Connected trailers (e.g. caravans, horse trailers) or bike carriers may enter the detection range of the park-
ing aid. Avoid distractions of the driver caused by a possible false alarm of the parking aid in any case.
• Deactivate the sensors during trailer operation (see chapter
operation (only
• Set the STOP zone when a bike carrier is connected (see chapter
bike carrier connected (only MWE9104)
The rear sensors (MWE9104 only) are activated automatically by engaging the reverse gear with the ignition on or
the engine running.
The front sensors (MWE9104F only) are activated automatically once the speed of the vehicle is between 0 km/h
and 10 km/h and the ignition is switched on. If the speedometer signal cannot be detected, the front sensors are ac-
tivated when the ignition is switched on or when the reverse gear is engaged. After the adjustable switch-off time has
elapsed the front sensors are deactivated automatically. Optionally, a switch (accessory) can be installed for activat-
ing the front sensors.
As soon as an obstacle is within the detection range (see chapter
When the vehicle approaches the obstacle, the tone sequence of the signal tone changes. The tone sequence de-
pends on the zone in which the obstacle is located.
15 Cleaning
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Do not use sharp or hard objects, abrasive cleaning agents or bleach during cleaning as these may dam-
age the device.
Dirty or fogged sensors can impair the function of the device or lead to a false alarm. Clean the sensors regular-
ly and as soon as they become dirty with a so, damp cloth.
Regularly check live cables for insulation faults, breaks or loose connections.
16 Troubleshooting
Problem
The device does not work.

Possible cause
The voltage supply cable (blue/black
(bu/bk) and brown (bn) wires) is con-
nected incorrectly or not at all.

Suggested remedy
Check the connections.
