Troubleshooting
Possible cause
The starter pawls are blocked.
Incorrect fuel type.
The fuel tank is filled with chain oil.
The spark plug is dirty or wet.
The electrode gap is incorrect.
The spark plug is loose.
Engine is flooded because of repea-
ted starts with full choke after igni-
tion.
Possible cause
Incorrect fuel type.
The idle speed is not correct.
Clogged air filter.
Clogged fuel filter.
Action
Adjust or replace the starter pawls.
Clean around the pawls.
Speak to an approved service work-
shop.
Drain the fuel tank and fill with cor-
rect fuel.
If you have tried to start the product,
speak to your servicing dealer. If you
have not tried to start the product,
drain the fuel tank.
Make sure that the spark plug is dry
and clean.
Clean the spark plug. Make sure that
the electrode gap and spark plug is
correct, and that the correct spark
plug type is the recommended or
equivalent.
