Important
Before the drive always check correct fastening of the
roof rack, i.e.:
All screw connections and joints of the roof rack with
potential other mounted parts (wheel racks, ski racks,
GB
etc.) have to be checked before each drive. Tighten in ad-
equate time intervals and re-check, if appropriate. At the
same time, you have to check the load for security and
fastening.
If your trip is going to be longer or if the quality of the
road is poor, you have to check the screw connections in
shorter intervals. Otherwise the roof rack may release
or an assembly part may get lost, thus endangering the
safety of other road traffic participants - risk of injury.
- Distribute the load on the rack evenly, and make sure the
centre of gravity is as lowest as possible.
- Place small and very heavy loads on the rack to one side
(never in its centre).
- If you transport bulk objects (e.g. roof boxes, bicycles,
etc.), the roof is exposed to more loading due to strongly
increased air resistance, therefore adapt the speed of your
drive to the specific conditions.
- If you transport load, always follow the safety rules of res-
pective country.
- Do not drive in car-wash with the roof rack mounted on
the vehicle, no matter if with or without the supplementary
parts.
- Advice. At least once a year grease the clamp bolts using
recommended agent CONCOR 101.
The manufacturer does not bear responsibility for any
damages caused by improper assembling.
