PREPARATION FOR WORK
DUST EXTRACTION
• To keep the work surface clean, the belt sander has a dust bag
attached. The dust bag is installed on the dust extraction port (Fig.
F).
• The dust bag needs to be emptied regularly to ensure efficient
operation of the grinder It is recommended to empty the dust bag
when it is already half full.
• Install the dust bag on the dust outlet spigot by sliding it over the
spigot.
• Check that the dust bag is securely seated by pulling lightly on the
bag.
• Removal of the dust bag is done in the reverse order to its
installation.
SELECTION OF GRINDING BELTS
• Choosing the right size and type of sanding belt is an important step
in achieving a high-quality ground finish. Aluminium oxide, silicon
carbide and other synthetic abrasives are best for mechanical
grinding.
• Generally speaking, when sanding a coarse grit removes the most
material and a fine grit gives the best finish. The condition of the

surface to be sanded will determine which grit is best. If the surface
is rough, start with a coarse grit and sand until the surface is uniform.
Then use a medium grit to remove the scratches created with the
coarser grit. Finally, use the finer grit to finish the surface. Continue
sanding with each grit until the surface is uniform.
REPLACING THE DRIVE BELT
Remove the battery
• Set the grinder on its side. (Fig. D)
• If the drive belt is worn, the grinder does not work properly. It is
necessary to replace the drive belt.
• Remove the dust bag.
• Lift the tension release lever.
• Remove the drive belt by sliding it off the drive wheels by turning the
wheels by hand.
• The installation of the new drive belt should be carried out as follows:
• Fit the drive belt to the larger drive wheel.
• Adjust the sanding belt to the correct position.
• Lower the tension release lever to secure the sanding belt.
• Ensure that the drive belt is correctly positioned on both drive wheels
ABRASIVE BELT INSPECTION
As the performance of the same abrasive belt decreases with prolonged use,
the abrasive belt should be replaced as soon as excessive wear is noticed.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE STRAP GUIDE
The service life of the sanding belt is significantly increased if its guidance
is regularly adjusted. When correctly adjusted, the outer edge of the
sanding belt should be flush with the outer edge of the sander base.
After fitting a new sanding belt, it may be necessary to adjust the sanding
belt guide several times until it is in condition. (Fig.F)
NOTE: This position is for adjustment only. The sanding belt should not
come into contact with the workpiece or any foreign object when making
belt guiding adjustments.
Press the switch trigger and immediately release.
Choose one of these options:
Sanding belt runs inwards: Turn the tracking knob slowly
counterclockwise.
The sanding belt moves outwards: turn the tracking knob slowly
clockwise.
NOTE: Turn the tracking knob until you are sure that the sanding belt is
secure, i.e. it will not come off the sander or touch internal parts.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
REMOVING / INSERTING THE BATTERY
Press the battery fixing button and slide out the battery (Fig. A).
Insert the charged battery into the handle holder until the battery
retaining button audibly engages.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
The device is supplied with a partially charged battery. The battery
should be charged in conditions where the ambient temperature is
4 0 C - 40 0 C. A new battery or one that has not been used for a long
period of time will reach full power capability after approximately 3
- 5 charge and discharge cycles.
• Remove the battery from the unit (Fig. A).
• Plug the charger into a mains socket (230 V AC).
• Insert the battery (into the charger.Check that the battery is properly
seated (inserted all the way).
• When the charger is plugged into a mains socket (230 V AC), the
green LED on the charger will light up to indicate that the voltage is
connected.
• When the battery is placed in the charger, the red LED on the
charger will light up to indicate that the battery is being charged.
• At the same time, the green battery charge status LEDs light up
pulsatingly in different patterns (see description below).
Pulse lighting of all LEDs - indicates battery depletion and the
need to recharge.
Pulsating illumination of 2 LEDs - indicates partial discharge.
Pulsating 1 LED - indicates high battery charge.
When the battery is charged, the LED on the charger lights up green
and all the battery charge status LEDs light up continuously. After
a certain time (approx. 15s), the battery charge status LEDs turn
off.
The battery should not be charged for more than 8 hours. Exceeding
this time may damage the battery cells. The charger will not switch
off automatically when the battery is fully charged. The green LED
