3.10 Moving to the area of use
When moving the machine to the area of use (without scrubbing and vacuuming), the suction base (17)
must always be raised by setting the suction base pedal (12) in the upper position. The brush motor must
also be raised. Set the notch lever for brush advance (14) to turtle (4).
The brush advance (14) must be set and checked prior to use.

3.11 Bleeding (mv version only)
Before first using machines with solenoid valves
or if these have been stood still for long periods,
air may have penetrated the fresh water supply
to the brushes. This disables the solenoid valve
function, and no water is supplied.
Measures:
In order to render the water supply functional
again, the following steps must be carried out:
1. Switch main switch (8) on.
2. Raise and engage brush drive.
3. Close fresh water lever (11).
4. Open bleeder valve (51).
5. Start brush drive (7).
3.12 Working with the machine
Working with the machine
Switch the machine on by turning the key in the main switch (8 ) to the right to 1 (2101 b).
When cleaning the machine, lower the suction base (17) via the suction base lever (12). Lower the brush
motor with the pedal (23). Set the turtle symbol (4) or the rabbit symbol (5). Switch the suction motor on by
pressing the switch (6) to 1. Switch the brush motor on by pressing the switch (7) to 1. The machine trav-
els slowly (turtle 4) or fast (rabbit 5). Half open the fresh water cock by opening the fresh water lever (11),
regulate the volume of water whilst moving.
Switching the machine off
Close the fresh water cock by pushing the fresh water lever (11). Switch the brush motor (29) off by set-
ting the switch (7) to 0. Depress the pedal (23), the brush motor is raised. Vacuum up residual water.
Raise the suction base (17) with the suction base lever (12). Switch the suction motor off by setting the
switch (6) to 0. Turn the key in the main switch (8) to the left to 0 (2101 b only).
Remove and store the key (2101 b).
In the case of machines with cables, disconnect the mains plug (35) (2101 c).
Special features of the atv version with
(without) solenoid valve
With this version, always switch the brush motor
(7) on first, and only then the suction motor (6).
In the case of machines with solenoid valves,
the fresh water lever (11) exclusively serves to
regulate the volume of water.

bles appear (approx. 10-15 sec.). Close
bleeder valve and release driving bow.
Attention in the case of atv ma-
chines:
Do not operate for long periods of
time with water supply closed, as
the pump may overheat and be de-
stroyed.
