2.0 SAFETY INFORMATION
2.1 GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION FOR USE
• Be sure to disconnect the power supply before dismantling / reassembling or adjusting the
product.
• Do not remove any safety signs or information from the product. Keep the stickers and labels
in a legible condition.
• To avoid danger in the event that the appliance gets damaged, contact our Customer Service
team or send the appliance to one of our authorised service centres for replacement, and do
not attempt to replace it without our authorisation.
• This unit is not intended for use by people (including children) with limited physical, sensory or
mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a
person responsible for their safety or have received instructions from them on how to use the
unit. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Do not
allow cleaning and maintenance activities to be carried out by children.
2.2 SAFETY INFORMATION FOR THE WORKPLACE
• Always keep the work area clean, tidy and well lit. Messy and dark areas are prone to accidents.
• Do not use any electrical appliances in potentially explosive environments e.g. in the presence
of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Electrical appliances produce sparks that can ignite dust or

distance. If distracted by others, you may lose control of the appliance.
• Only use the shredder in places that are protected from water. Never use the unit outdoors
when it is raining.

off the motor. Pull out the mains plug and solve the problem. When the
problem is solved, wait at least one minute before restarting the motor.
