2.3 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS – ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
• WARNING! Read all the safety information and instructions. Failure to follow the safety
information and instructions may cause electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
• Ensure that water cannot get inside the appliance. Never immerse the appliance in water or
other liquids. Never expose it to rain.
• Do not use the appliance if the power plug, power cord or any other part of the appliance is
defective or damaged.
• Do not use the appliance if it has previously been dropped.
• Do not use the appliance if it exhibits visible signs of damage.
• Do not remove the power plug from the socket by pulling on the power cord.
• Never insert or remove the power plug with wet hands.
2.4 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• The product requires a power supply of 230-240 V ~50 Hz. Please check that the appropriate
power supply is available before use.
• The plugs of electrical appliances must be compatible with the socket. Never change the plug.
Do not use adapter plugs with earthed electrical appliances. Original plugs and matching
sockets reduce the risk of electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed objects such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators.
There is a greater risk of electric shock if your body comes into contact with an earthed object.
• Use the cable only for its intended purpose. Never use the cable to carry, pull or unplug the
electrical appliance. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
• If the power cord of the appliance is defective, return the appliance to our customer service
department or have it replaced by a qualified electrician. Damaged cables and plugs may only
be repaired by qualified personnel.
• Make sure that the cable cannot become a trip hazard or be crushed to prevent damage to
the cable.
• When operating an electrical appliance outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor
use.
• If the operation of the electrical appliance in a damp environment is unavoidable, use a residual
current device for personal protection.
2.5 PERSONAL SAFETY
• Stay alert and pay attention to what you are doing while operating an electrical appliance. Do
not use electrical appliances while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
• Avoid accidental start-up. Ensure that the switch is turned off before connecting the plug.
Carrying electrical appliances with your finger on the switch or plugging in electrical appliances
while the is switch on may cause accidents.
• Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing and gloves
away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery and long hair may get caught in moving
parts.
