Phone settings
Select Menu > Settings > Phone settings and one of the following settings:
Phone language—Select the language for the display texts.
Memory status—View the total amount of free and used shared memory and
the amount of memory used by different functions.
Cell info display—Set the phone to indicate when it is used in a cellular
network based on micro cellular network (MCN) technology (network service).
For more information, contact your service provider.
Welcome note—Key in a message that will be shown briefly on the display
when the phone is switched on.
Network selection—Set the phone to automatically select a cellular network
available in your area, or you can select the network manually. The network you
select must have a roaming agreement with your home network.
Help text activation—Set the phone to show help texts that guide you in using
the menu functions.
Start-up tone—Set the phone to play a tone when it is switched on.
Enhancement settings
The Enhancement settings menu appears only after a Nokia audio enhancement
has been connected to the phone at least once. When a compatible enhancement
is connected to the phone, the corresponding icon (for example,
shown in the standby mode.

Select Menu > Settings > Enhancement settings > Headset.

Depending on the enhancement, you can select some of the
following functions:
Default profile—Select the profile that is automatically activated when
you connect the selected enhancement to the phone.
Automatic answer—Set the phone to automatically answer an incoming
call after 5 seconds. If the Incoming call alert is set to Beep once or Off,
automatic answer cannot be used.
Security settings
Several types of codes are used in the phone:

The security code, supplied with the phone, protects your phone against
unauthorized use. The preset code is 12345.
•
The PIN code, supplied with the SIM card, protects the card against
unauthorized use. The preset code is 1234. If you enter the PIN code
incorrectly three times in succession, the SIM card is blocked. You must
enter the PUK code to unblock the SIM card and set a new PIN code.
