DuringSelfClean
. The self c lean c ycle uses extremely hot t emperatures
toclean t heoven c avity. While r unning theSelf Clean
cycle, youmay notice s moking oranodor.
This isnormal, especially
iftheoven isheavily soiled.
. As theoven heats, youmay hear sounds ofmetal
parts e xpanding
and contracting.
This isnormal and
willnot d amage theoven.
. Donot f orce t heoven d oor o pen w hen LOCKED
is
displayed.
The oven d oor w ill r emain l ocked u ntil t he
oven temperature
has c ooled. Forcing thedoor o pen
willdamage thedoor.
NOTE
. The SelfClean cyclecannot be startedif the
Lockout
feature is active.
. Once the Self Clean cycle is set, the oven door will
lock automatically.
You will not be able to open
the oven door until the oven is cooled. The lock
will release automatically.
. Once the door has been locked, the LOCKED
indicator
light will stop flashing
and remain on.
Allow about
15 seconds for the oven door lock to
activate.
. If the clock is set for a 12 hour display (default) the
Delayed Self Clean can never be set to start more
than 12 hours in advance.

The oven door will remain
locked until oven
temperature
has cooled.
You may notice some white ash in the oven. Wipe it
off with a damp
cloth ora soap-filled
steel wool pad
after the oven cools. If the oven is not clean after one
clean cycle, repeat the cycle.
If oven racks were left in the oven and do not slide
smoothly
after a clean cycle, wipe
racks and rack
supports
with a small amount
of vegetable
oil to
make them glide more easily.
Fine lines may appear in the porcelain
because it went
through
heating and cooling.
This is normal
and will
not affect performance.
