Setting up the unit
Remove the locking screw on the record player marked with a
red strip and loosen the transport safety screw (13) (Fig. 1)
by turning
clockwise
till they slip down
by approximately
15 mm and the turntable is supported on it's spring suspension.
Remove the protective segment between the chassis and turn-
table and tighten the transport

Take the tonearm counterbalance (1) from its styrofoam packing
and screw it on to the rear of the tonearm (Fig. 2).
Pages 14 and 15 explain how to balance the tonearm and then
apply stylus pressure and anti-skating.
The separate Technical Data sheet advises you on how to set
tracking pressure for the cartridge already inserted in the unit.
Please keep the original packing materials for subsequent trans-
port of the unit.

Do not attempt to connect several loudspeakers to one jack.
The speakers may be installed as shown in Fig. 6 on page 7.
Connection to AC mains supply
Before
connecting
the unit, make certain you
know
what
voltage you have.
The compact
HiFi system operates on 115 —
125 or 220 —
240 V AC, 50 or 60 Hz. It is set by the manufacturer for
operation at 230 V, 50 Hz.
For safety reasons, conversion to a different mains voltage or
mains frequency should be carried out by a specialist dealer or
by an authorized Dual service agent.
