RDS Receiving
Monitoring Traffic, News, or
Information Programs

This procedure shows you how to have the
tuner automatically switch from the
currently tuned in RDS station to another
network RDS station broadcasting a traffic,
news, or information program. When
another station begins broadcasting one of
these programs, the tuner automatically
tunes in the program. After the program is
finished, the tuner switches back to the
original station. This function is available
only when the tuner receives EON stations.
Note
For this function, you should store RDS
stations beforehand.
To monitor traffic programs
1 Make sure the RDS TP or RDS TP
EON indicator appears. (ST-S361
only)
¢ The RDS TP indicator appears
when the station you ate tuned to
broadcasts traffic prograrns.
¢ The RDS TP EON indicator appears
when the station is part of the EON
network even though itdoes not
broadcast traffic programs.
2 Press TA.
The TA indicator should appear.
When the tuner automatically tunes
in a traffic program, the TA indicator
flashes. If you do not want to listen to
the entire program, pressTA to
switch back to the original station.

1 Make sure the RDS orRDS EON
indicator appears. (STS 361
only)
* The RDS indicator appaaxs when
the station you are tun:dl to is an
RDS station.
° The RDS EON indicato: appears
when the station you ar tuned to is
an RDS station even tha gh it may
not broadcast
news 0
information programs.
2 Press NEWS/INFO.
The NEWS, INFO or NEVS and
INFO indicator should appear
(depending on which serice(s) you
select). When the tuner aucomatically
tunes in a news or informitaion
program or when a news/ixiformation
program begins, the progam name
appears. If you don't wan! t0 listen to
the entire program, pressN EWS/
INFO to switch back to th Original
station.
