Safety
3.1.
GROUPED SAFETY MESSAGES

Pressurised components
Risk of injury from hose ends whipping free, damaged hose or Hose reel.
▶ Before performing any maintenance, repairs or cleaning, disconnect Hose reel
from compressed air supply.

▶ Unfasten or tighten pneumatic tool, hose or assemblies only when depressurised.
▶ Never exceed hose's maximum working pressure.
▶ Regularly check that all connections are firmly tightened.
▶ Connect only to a compressed air supply that will cut out before exceeding the

INTENDED USE

REASONABLY FORESEEABLE MISUSE
 Never use Hose reel without first mounting it on a wall or ceiling.
 Do not make any unauthorised changes or modifications.

 Not for use where there is exposure to intense heat, direct sunlight, naked flames
or liquids.

3.4.
DUTIES OF THE OPERATING COMPANY
The operating company must ensure that personnel who work on the product com-
ply with the regulations and provisions together with the following instructions:
 National and regional regulations for safety, accident prevention and environ-

mental protection regulations.
 No damaged products are assembled, installed or commissioned.
 The necessary protective equipment is provided.
3.5.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Comply with the national and regional regulations for safety and accident preven-
tion. Protective work wear appropriate for the risks associated with the intended
activities must be selected, provided and worn.

3.6.
QUALIFICATIONS OF PERSONNEL

Specialists in the sense of this documentation are persons who are familiar with as-
sembly work, mechanical installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and mainten-

5.
Assembly
5.1.
WALL OR CEILING MOUNTING

ü Choose wall plugs and screws matching the wall or ceiling.
1. Position bracket on smooth surface and mark two drilling positions.
▶ Do not mount on wall or ceiling more than 3 m above the floor.
2. Drill holes, screw bracket firmly onto mounting surface with suitable screws and
wall plugs.
6.
Operation
6.1.
PULLING OUT THE HOSE

1. Slowly pull the Hose out to the desired length.
▶ Take care to pull the Hose out in a straight line.
2. To stop the Hose, pull on the Hose again until the locking mechanism gives an
audible click.
▶ Do not extend past hose end marking.
3. To adjust the hose stop, release the back stop screw of the stop and move it to
the desired position. Then tighten the back stop screw.
6.2.
CONNECTING
1. Connect Hose reel to the compressed air supply. Connect a suitable pneumatic
tool to the pneumatic tool connection.
▶ Comply with the respective manufacturer's operating instructions.
▶ Note the hose's maximum working pressure.
2. Check that all connections are in order.
WARNING! Risk of injury from pressurised hose. Fully relieve hose reel of
pressure after every use. Do not store when pressurised.
6.3.
REELING IN HOSE

1. To release fastening, slowly pull Hose until you no longer hear the locking mech-
anism's clicking sound.
▶ Hose slides back into casing at controlled speed.
2. Guide Hose while it is reeling in.
