3.2.2 - Power source operation.
WHEN PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING TESTS, NEVER POINT THE TORCH AT
PEOPLE OR PARTS OF THE BODY, BUT ONLY TOWARDS AN OPEN SPACE OR THE

following an operator action.
System shut off and disconnected from the mains.
Connect the gas supply to the fitting (C) on the rear panel.
Connect the torch to the power source.
Connect the power source positive terminal cable to the workpiece to be cut.
Connect the power source to the mains.
Close switch (B) on the power source.
♦ System powered, LCD (N) on, fan on after approximately 12 s.
♦ The LCD shows information on the name of the power source, the
microcontroller firmware version of display board (57), the firmware version of
control board (48) and the type of torch connected.
♦ The LCD shows a progress bar with the message "WAIT"
♦ The operating screen appears on the LCD after approximately 18 s. (See
instruction manual).
Set the "air pressure" function on the LCD display via the encoder and its
pushbutton, turn gas regulation knob (D) to obtain a pressure reading on the LCD
appropriate to the type of torch being used (see Instruction Manual).
Set the machine to cutting mode using the encoder and the machine pushbutton.
Press the torch start pushbutton briefly.
♦ Gas flows from the torch for at least 20 s.
♦ Air pressure displayed on the LCD is constant.
Press the torch start pushbutton for approximately 2 s to ignite the pilot arc.
♦ Ignition of pilot arc for approximately 3 s.
♦ Gas continues to emerge for a time ranging from 15 to 20 s depending on the
current set after releasing the start pushbutton.
