• Lower the tool gradually until the accessory comes into contact with the
workpiece.
• Move the tool continuously at a steady pace.
• Use enough pressure so that the tool does not slip or bounce.
ON/OFF
To switch the tool on: push the switch fig. A2 ON/OFF to the ON position fig. C1.
To switch off the tool: push the switch fig. A2 ON/OFF to the OFF position fig. C2.
INSTALLATION/REMOVAL OF ACCESSORIES
To install the accessory:
• Remove the battery (not supplied)
• Slide the spindle lock lever fig. B2 forward and rotate the shaft by hand until
the spindle lock blocks the shaft, preventing further rotation.
• When the spindle lock is engaged, use the collet spanner fig. B5 to loosen
the collet nut if necessary.
• Insert the accessory pin into the collet Fig. B5 as far as it will go, and then
pull it out about 2mm to prevent the pin from locking into place when the pin
gets too hot.
• With the spindle lock engaged, tighten the collet nut fig. B5 with the
supplied spanner until the accessory pin is captured by the collet. Avoid
over-tightening the collet nut fig. B5.
TO REMOVE THE ACCESSORY:
Remove the battery (not supplied)
With the spindle lock engaged fig B2, loosen the collet nut fig B5 with the
supplied spanner and remove the accessory. DANGER: if you change the
working tip immediately after use be careful not to touch the collet nut or the
accessory with your bare hands. You could be burned due to heat build-up during
operation. Always use the spanner provided.
OPERATION OF A ROTARY TOOL
Learning to use a rotary tool:
• Hold the Fig. B3 pen in your hand and get used to its weight, balance and
body shape. Its design allows you to grip it like a pen.
• Examine rotary tool accessories carefully. Damaged accessories may
disintegrate if they reach excessive speed and should not be used at that
time. Use of damaged accessories can cause serious personal injury.
• First practice on waste material to see how the tool works. Note that the
work is done by very high rotation of the accessory in the collet. Do not lean
on the running tool or press the tool too hard against the workpiece.
• It is best to make a series of passes with the tool rather than trying to do the
whole job in one pass. To make a cut, drag the tool back and forth on the
material you are working in, just like a small paintbrush. Cut a little of the
material on each pass until you reach the desired depth. For most jobs, a
gentle touch is best; you will have more control, make fewer mistakes and
get the most efficient work out of the accessory.
• For best control during close work, grip the tool like a pencil between your
thumb and forefinger.
• The "hand grip" method of holding the tool is used for operations such as
grinding a flat surface or using cut-off wheels.

The regulation of revolutions is carried out by means of the regulator as shown in
fig. A4; in fig. C the directions for decreasing and increasing revolutions are
shown. Rotation of the knob in direction MAX fig. C3 increases revolutions, while
rotation in direction MIN fig. C4 decreases them.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Keep the ventilation slots of the machine clean to prevent the engine from
overheating.
Clean the machine housing regularly with a soft cloth, preferably after each use.
If the dirt won't come off, use a soft cloth dampened with soapy water.
Never use solvents such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water, etc. These solvents
may damage plastic parts.
CONSERVATION
Our equipment is designed to operate for a long time with minimal maintenance.
However, proper care and regular cleaning will significantly increase the time of
trouble-free use.
REPAIR
Use only accessories and spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.
If the appliance is damaged, contact an authorised service centre, only trained
and authorised persons may repair it.
