Connecting to the drain
The drain hose can be installed in two different ways:
Method No. 1: Position the hose over the edge of a sink using a special "U" device
(not supplied). The elbow should be placed at a maximum distance of 100 cm from the
ground.
Method No. 2:Fix the end of the drain hose to the drain: the drain pipe must be at least
50 cm and not more than 85 cm above the ground and must not extend more than 2.5
metres.
CAUTION:
•
Your house will be flooded if the drain hose comes out of its housing when draining.
•
There is a risk of burns from the high washing temperatures! Fix the drain hose
securely in order to prevent such situations and ensure that the washing machine
takes in and drains water without issue.
•
If the drain hose is raised after its installation, it becomes harder for the water to drain,
and the laundry may be considerably wetter. This is why the heights set out in the
diagram must be respected.
•
To prevent the machine from self-siphoning, do not push the hose down to the bottom
of the drain.
