1.2 ASSEMBLY
Thegeneratorrequiressome assemblyprior to using it. If problems
arise when assembling the generator, please call the Generator

1.2.1 ASSEMBLING THEACCESSORY K IT
The wheels are designed into the unit to greatly improve the
portability of the generator.
You will needthe following tools to properly install the accessory
kit.
• NeedleNose Pliers
• Ratchetand a 13mm (1/2") socket
• 13mm (1/2") box wrench
NOTE:
The wheels are not intendedfor over-the-road use.

Refer to Figure 1 and install the Wheels as follows:
• Slidethe Axle Pinsthrough the Wheel, 1/2" FlatWasher,and Wheel
Bracket on the frame.
• Insert the Cotter Pinthrough the Axle Pinthen bend the tabs (ofthe
OotterPins) outward to lock into place.

Refer to Figure 1 and install the Frame Foot and Rubber
Bumpers as shown.
• Slidethe RubberBumper studs through the Frame Footthen install
the Locking FlangeNuts.
• Slide the HexHead Bolts through the holes in the FrameRail.
• Slide the Frame Foot onto the Hex Head Bolts then install the
Locking FlangeNuts.

Refer to Figure 1 and install the Handle as shown.
• Slide the long Bolts through the HandleBracket and Handle,then
install the HexNuts.

1.2.2 BATTERY CABLE CONNECTION (ELECTR/C START
ONLY)_
The unit has been deliberately shipped with the battery cables
disconnected.
To connectthe battery (see Figure13 for connectiondetails):
1. Cut off cable ties securing battery cables and remove red
covers from batteryterminals.
2. First, connectthe red cableto the positive (+) batteryterminal
with the bolt, lock washer and nut supplied.
3. Connect the black cable to the negative (-) battery terminal
with the bolt, lock washer and nut supplied.
4. Make sure all connections are secure. Slide the rubber boots
over the terminals and connection hardware.
NOTE:
If the battery is unable to start the engine, charge it with the
12V chargerincludedin the accessory box (see the "Charging a
Battery" section for details).
2.1 KNOW THEGENERATOR
Read the Owner'sManual and Safety Rules before operating
this generator.
Compare the generator to Figures 2 through 4 to become
familiarizedwith the locations of various controls and adjustments.
Savethis manualfor future reference.

2. 120/240 Volt AC, 30 Amp LockingReceptacle - Supplies
electrical power for the operation of 120 and/or 240 Volt AC,
30 Amp, single-phase, 60 Hz, electrical lighting, appliance,
tool and motor loads.
3. Circuit Breakers(AC) - Each receptacle is provided with a
push-to-reset circuit breakerto protect the generatoragainst
electrical overload.
4. Oil Drain - Useto drain engine oil.
5. Air Filter - Filters intakeair as it is drawn into the engine.
