Fitting the emergency hand chain
Attention:
• Before connecting the emergency hand
chain on the operator using the supplied
chain links, it is essential to ensure that the
chain is not twisted. This could otherwise
lead to malfunctions when the emergency
hand chain is actuated.
Operating the emergency hand chain:
I
CLOSE
II
OPEN
When the sectional door is opened via the emergency hand
chain, the operator is cut off from the mains.
For power-driven operation, the emergency hand chain must
be fixed on the screw in such a way that the green LED on the
operating keyboard lights up when the power supply is on.
In the event of a power failure or on switching the control unit
back on, the door must be allowed to complete a full opening
cycle.

Important information regarding operation
The user of the door system is responsible for meeting the
minimum safety requirements for power-driven door
systems (DIN EN 12 453).
Attention:
Keep control devices out of the
reach of children!
Always wait until the door has
come to a complete stop before
entering the door's range of
travel.
Before driving in or out of the building, make sure that the door
has opened to a sufficient passage height.
Attention:
The devices allowing emergency operation
may only be used during a power failure
or repair work.
Use over a longer period of time could
result in damage (rendering the guarantee
null and void).
Do not hang bodily from the emergency
hand chain or the controlled quick release.
Further details can be obtained from the Wiring Manual and
Instructions for Initial Operation of the control unit supplied.
Power-driven doors must be checked
for safety by a specialist prior to initial
operation and at least once a year
thereafter.
