BIKE SAFETY CHECKS
WARNING
Technological advances have made bicycles and their components increasingly complex. Because of this constant evolution, it is impossible
for this manual to contain all the information needed to repair and/or maintain your bike. To reduce the risk of accidents and injury, it is
imperative that your authorized Sherco dealer perform any repairs or maintenance not covered by this manual. In addition, maintenance
needs may vary depending on many factors such as your weight, riding style or type of terrain. We encourage you to consult your dealer
so that he can help you determine your specific maintenance needs.
Pre-ride checks:
1. Make sure all nuts and bolts are tightened to the torque specified by the manufacturer, paying particular
attention to the wheel and seat quick-releases.
2. Check the stem, handlebars and seat post for visible damage or cracks.
3. Check that the front and rear braking systems are working properly.
4. Check the tyre pressure. (Refer to the "settings and basic values" table, &p. 62].
5. Make sure the brake levers are securely fastened to the handlebars.
6. Check that the front and rear suspension are working properly.
