AIR BLEEDING FROM THE FUEL SUPPLY CIRCUIT
IMPORTANT
This operation must be carried out after
each fuel filter cartridge replacement.
Follow the procedure below :
IMPORTANT
Carry out the operation with the engine
off. Ignition key removed, wait at least
6 minutes before disconnecting the
negative battery cable.
1 - Carry out the operation with the engine
cold.
2 - Do not come into contact with hot
engine parts and fuel. Wear gloves and
protective clothing suitables.
3 - Prepare a container with appropriate
capacity under the fuel filter.
4 - Partially loosen the screw (E) to allow
the fuel to be bled to drain.
5 - Manually activate the pump (F) until the
fuel drained has no air bubbles.
6 - Tighten the screw (E).
CAUTION - PRECAUTION
The bleeder pump (F) must never be
operated if the bleed screw (E) has not
first been partially loosened as descri-
bed in the previous instructions.
Operating improperly there is the risk
of damaging the internal components.

Thoroughly dry any fuel residues befo-
re starting the engine.

Do not use the starter motor to try to
bleed air from the fuel circuit.

Do not loosen high-pressure pipe
unions of the supply circuit (common
rail system).
