ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL CHECK AND REPLACEMENT
DANGER - WARNING
The coolant is pressurised. Hot coolant
causes severe burning.
Do not drain or top up the coolant when
the engine is hot or warm.
CAUTION - PRECAUTION
To open the cooling circuit plug, first
stop the engine and wait until the
circuit components are cold.
Slowly loosen the plug counter-
clockwise to gradually release pressure
in the circuit.

Use coolant that complies with
the specifications contained in the
"Technical Data" table on page 14.

Avoid starting or keeping the engine
running without coolant circulation.

CAUTION - PRECAUTION
To check the engine coolant and to
replace it, refer to the instructions
provided by the manufacturer of the
vehicle in which the engine is installed.
IMPORTANT
The engine is provided with a
thermostatic valve that keeps the
coolant at a suitable operating
temperature.
Do not remove or tamper with the
thermostatic valve in case of abnormal
coolant temperature increase. Remove
the load applied to the engine,
gradually bring the engine to idle
speed, wait 1-2 minutes, turn off the
engine and promptly contact the
manufacturer of the vehicle in which
the engine is installed or a workshop
authorised by VM MOTORI STELLANTIS
EUROPE.
IMPORTANT
Contact the manufacturer of the vehicle
where the engine is installed or a
workshop authorized by VM MOTORI
STELLANTIS EUROPE if any impurities
or foreign liquids are visually detected
in the coolant.
