5. Install downrod
Remove ground screw and tag from motor shaft (Fig. 5.1). Align arrow on downrod with
arrow on shaft and connect downrod ground wire and safety cable to shaft (Fig. 5.2).
Make sure cable lugs are pointing straight up and are not turned at an angle (Fig. 5.3).
Route each wiring harness out of the downrod on the same side as its matching
harness on the motor shaft (Fig. 5.4). Secure downrod to shaft with M8 x 33 mm bolt,
M8 washer, and M8 nut (Fig. 5.4).
