Building Structure
Loop safety cable around building structure and secure with shackle (Fig. 11c).
Acceptable building structures include a wooden beam or a metal mounting brace
secured between two beams. In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional
structural material to provide attachment points.

12. Install fan stabilizer (if included)
Fan stabilizer is included only with outdoor fans. Stabilizer is required
for outdoor installations and is for use on flat ceilings only.
Insert the two halves of the fan stabilizer between bottom of control box tray and top
of mounting ball (Fig. 12). Make sure wires and safety cable from downrod are routed
through the wiring channel in the stabilizer. Secure stabilizer with M3 x 20 mm screws
(Fig. 12). Safety cable and some electrical wires not shown.
