Attention. Carefully arrange the bundle in the area under the dashboard and
EN
fasten it to the existing electrical wiring bundle of the vehicle and to the support
of the module in suitable places using cable ties (J).
Fig. 19
Connecting the bundle (A) and (D) to the fuse panel and the BCM
› Connect the wire from BCM PIN 3 to PIN 1 of the connector counterpart (H).
› Connect the black-blue wire of the bundle (A) to PIN 3 of the BCM terminal block C.
› Connect the black-blue wire of the bundle (A) to PIN 1 of the connector (G).
› Connect connectors (G) and (H) and place them into damping polyurethane foam (N).
› Connect the wire from fuse box PIN 134 to PIN 3 of the terminal block counterpart (M).
› Connect the red-white wire of the bundle (D) to fuse box position 134.
› Connect the red-white wire of the bundle (D) to fuse box position 23.
› Connect the red-yellow wire of the bundle (A) to fuse box position 23A. Insert a 7.5A MINI (E)
fuse into the fitted position.
› Connect the terminal block (M) to the bundle terminal block (D). Place the connectors into
damping polyurethane foam (N).
Attention. Lay the bundle so that it cannot be damaged by the edges of the
dashboard bracket.
Fasten the reversing camera bundle next to the heating module (behind the passenger's
glove compartment) to the existing electrical wiring and to the support of the module
so that the bundle cannot come into contact with the moving part of the module (the
damper).
Fasten the wires under the dashboard next to the fuse panel by cable ties so that they
cannot become loose and interfere with the other parts located under the dashboard (the
knee air bag, the pedals, the steering column, etc. in case of left-hand drive vehicles, or the
passenger's glove compartment in case of right-hand drive vehicles).
The functionality of the knee air bag, pedals, and other parts located under the dashboard
must not be restricted under any circumstances. The possibility to release the fuse panel
must also be maintained.
Inspect the entire layout of the bundle (A) and fastening of all wires. All wires must be
secured in a way to prevent damage to the wires and irritating noises while driving.
After finishing the installation, replace all demounted parts according to the Workshop
Manual. Connect the battery and perform all tasks related to disconnecting and
re-connecting the battery.
Activate the reversing camera
Perform guided fault finding.
› Activate the 'software version management (SVM)' function. Selection function 3 in the menu
- called 'Perform conversion and refit' - see fig. 20.
› Enter the 5-digit measure code (listed in the 'ETKA' spare parts catalogue) and confirm it.
› Finish the diagnostics in the usual way.
Perform the basic set-up of the reversing camera according to the ŠKODA Workshop
Manual. Test the functionality of the reversing camera. A description of the reversing
camera functionality and a depiction of the field of view of the camera are given in the
Owner's Manual of the vehicle.
