28 Install roll pin (41) that secures primer
rod to adapter. Use a small hammer.
29 Install valve seat (46), plate (47), and
stop nut (48) onto primer rod. Tighten
stop nut securely. Place a small punch
into the hole of primer rod to prevent its
rotation
30 Position adapter (42) horizontally
into vise.
Internally-threaded end of
adapter
31 Install gasket (27) into internally-
threaded end of adapter.
32 Install primer rod and piston (piston end
first) into adapter. Center and seat all
components properly. Pull on piston as
necessary. Use care to ensure gasket
does not move.
33 Install additional gasket (27) onto valve
seat (46).
Externally-threaded end of
adapter
34 Install spacer (33) into externally-
threaded end of adapter. Make sure
spacer centers and seats properly.
35 Position barrel (28) with large diameter
pointing upward.
36 Install wear ring (29) into barrel.
37 Install and seat seal (30), lip end first,
into barrel.
38 Install back-up ring (31) and brass
bearing (32) into barrel.
39 Install gasket (27) onto adapter.
NOTE
Use care installing barrel over threads of
piston (34).
Damage to seal can occur.
40 Install barrel (large diameter first) onto
piston (34). Make sure barrel seats
properly against spacer (33).
41 Install gasket (27) onto barrel.
42 Screw upper and lower couplings (23)
onto each end of pump tube rod (25)
until spring clip holes align.
43 Install spring clips (24).
44 Screw rod and coupling onto piston.
45 Install spring clip (24).
NOTE
If a primer is used with low strength
threadlocker, curing time is greatly
reduced.
46 Screw pump tube (26) onto adapter (42)
with low strength threadlocker
(→ Fig. IPB 2, page 19). Do not tighten.
47 Screw primer body (49) with low
strength threadlocker into opposite end
of adapter. Do not tighten.
48 Screw jam nut (22) onto pump tube.
49 Push on plate (47) to expose coupling (23)
from pump tube as necessary.

Attach pump tube to
air motor
50 Screw coupling onto air motor piston rod
until spring clip holes align. Rotate entire
pump tube.
51 Install spring clip (24).
52 Screw pump tube into body (7).
53 Place a large wrench or other suitable
tool into the slot of primer body (49).
54 Tighten all components securely. Crush
all gaskets.
55 Tighten jam nut (22).
