INSTALLATION AND INITIAL SET-UP
6.1
INSTALLING THE ENERGISER
When choosing the installation site, observe the general safety instructions given in Chapter 2.
Choose a place where:
• good grounding is possible.
• the energiser can be hung securely and free from moisture.
• a continuous flow of water is prevented.
• children and animals cannot reach the device.
• the energiser is readily accessible.
• there is a correctly installed power socket within easy reach.

Risk of fire. Only install the device on a fireproof base.

Do not lay PVC cables at a temperature below +5°C.
1. Fix the screws supplied in a place that fulfils the above criteria.
2. Hang the energiser on the screws.

6.2
VERIFYING GOOD WORKING ORDER (OPTIONAL)
Before connecting the VOSS.farming impuls to your fence, you can ensure that it is working properly.
1. Unscrew the two terminal nuts (5 and 6).
2. Insert the mains plug (1) into the socket.

Only insert the connection plug into properly installed sockets, in order to prevent
the risk of a short circuit or electric shock. The socket used must be equipped
with a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB).
3. Press and hold the On/off button (4) for more than 2 seconds to switch the energiser on.
The indicator LED (2) flashes in time with the electrical pulses.
4. Hold the non-insulated part of a screwdriver against one of the connectors and move the tip of
the screwdriver towards the other connector.
A small and harmless flashover (spark) will be produced just before the tip touches the connector.
If the indicator LED (2) does not flash, or you do not see a flashover spark, check the mains voltage
and power cable. If you find no faults, the energiser must be inspected by a specialist.
