Precautions
Please read these cautions before operating this unit.
■ Power cord protection
To avoid any malfunctions of the unit, and to protect against
electric shock, fire or personal injury, please observe the
following.
•Hold the plug firmly when connecting or disconnecting
the AC power cord.
•Keep the AC power cord away from heating appliances.
•Never put any heavy object on the AC power cord.
•Do not attempt to repair or reconstruct the AC power
cord in any way.
■ Placement
Avoid placing the unit in areas of:
•direct sunlight or heating radiators, or closed automobiles.
• high temperature [over35°C (95°F)] or high humidity
(over 90%)
•much dust
As the internal parts may be seriously damaged.
■ Nonuse Periods
When the unit is not being used, turn the power off.
When left unused for a long period of time, the unit should be
unplugged from the household AC outlet.
■ Lightning
To avoid damage by lightning, disconnect the antenna plug
from the unit.
■ No fingers or other objects inside
•Touching internal parts of this unit is dangerous, and may
cause serious damage to the unit. Do not attempt to
disassemble the unit.
• Do not put any foreign object on the disc tray.
■ Keep away from water/magnet.
• Keep the unit away from flower vases, tubs, sinks, etc. If
liquids are spilled into the unit, serious damage could occur.
•Never bring a magnet or magnetized object near the unit.
■ Stacking
Place the unit in a horizontal position, and do not place
anything heavy on it.
■ Condensation
Moisture may form on the lens in the following conditions...
•immediately after a heater has been turned on.
•in a steamy or very humid room.
•when the unit is suddenly moved from a cold environment
to a warm one.
If moisture forms inside this unit, it may not operate properly.
In this case, turn on the power and wait about one hour for
the moisture to evaporate.
■ If there is noise interference on the TV while a
broadcast is being received
Depending on the reception condition of the TV, interference
may appear on the TV monitor while you watch a TV
broadcast and the unit is left on. This is not a malfunction of
the unit or the TV. To watch a TV broadcast, turn off the unit.
Precautions

■ Protection du cordon d'alimentation
Respecter les consignes suivantes afin de ptevenir tout
dommage ou probteme de fonctionnement.
• Pour debrancher, toujours tirer sur la fiche et non sur le
fil.
•Eloigner le cordon d'alimentation de tout appareil de
chauffage ou 6mettant de la chaleur.
•Ne pas placer d'objet lourd sur le cordon d'alimentation.
•Ne pas tenter de Sparer ou de remettre le cordon en
etat.
■ Emplacement
Eviter de placer I'appareil dans des endroits:
•sibtes en plein soleil, ptes d'un radiateur ou dans un
vehicule fernte.
•haute temperature [supyrieure a 35°C (95°F)] ou forte
humidity (supyrieure a 90%)
•tres poussierieux
Cela pourrait endommager gravement les pieces internes.
■ Apres usage
Apres usage, toujours couper le contact sur I'appareil. En cas
de non utilisation prolongs, debrancher le cordon
d'alimentation de la prise de courant.
■ O rages
Afin de prevenir les dommages a I'appareil pendant un
orage, debrancher le fil d'antenne.
■ Doigts et objets a I'interieur
•II peut etre dangereux de toucher aux pieces internes de
I'appareil et cela pourrait les endommager. Ne pas tenter de
demonter I'appareil.
•Ne pas poser d'objets Strangers dans le plateau du disque.
■ Eloigner de I'eau/des aimants.
• Eloigner I'appareil des vases, baignoires, yviers, etc.
Si un liquide est renvers6 dans I'appareil, de s^rieux
dommages peuvent en tesulter.
•Ne jamais approcher d'aimant ni d'objet aimante de
I'appareil.
■ Empilage
Placer I'appareil & I'horizontale et ne poser aucun objet lourd
dessus.
■ Condensation
De la condensation risque de se former sur la lentille dans
les cas suivants:
•Tout de suite aptes avoir allume le chauffage.
•Dans une piece embuee ou tres humide.
•Quand I'appareil est brusquement amene d'un
environnement froid
&
une ptece chauffee.
Si de la condensation se forme a I'interieur de I'appareil, il
risque de ne plus fonctionner correctement. Dans ce cas,
I'allumer et attendre environ une heure que la condensation
se soit 4vapor6e.
■ Interference pendant la reception tele
Selon les conditions de reception du signal de television, des
parasites peuvent apparaitre sur I'ecran si le lecteur est
laisse en contact. Dans une telle eventuality, couper tout
simplement le contact sur le lecteur.
