The device can be operated without batteries, with the solar panel only, but this is
not recommended. In case of low temperatures or low light conditions, it is
recommended to use AA batteries in conjunction with the solar panel.
3.2.
Solar panel
Fully charge the battery of the solar panel
before using the product.
The solar panel built-in battery can be charged
with solar energy or with the supplied USB cable.
The trail camera uses energy from the solar panel
first before using energy from the batteries.
NOTE: the solar panel can't charge Ni-MH batteries installed in the battery
compartment.
3.3.
External power supply
The device can also operate with an external
power supply (5V/1A).
We recommend removing the AA batteries
when an external power supply is used.
4.
Installing the memory card
The camera doesn't have an internal memory.
Using a memory card is required to operate the
camera (micro-SD card from 4GB up to 128GB
maximum – class 10 minimum).
You can purchase micro-SD cards at any time
at www.numaxes.com.
In SETUP mode, if no memory card is inserted,
the LDC screen displays "No memory card".
Before inserting or removing the memory card, the camera must be turned off
(switch in the OFF position). Failing to do so may cause loss of or damage the files
already recorded on the card.
Formatting the memory card in the trail camera before using it for the first time is
strongly recommended, especially when the card has been used in other devices. A
memory card formatted in another device may not be compatible.
