ENGMAR welding torches have been manufactured in accordance with the applicable
technical and safety standards. The following safety measures must be observed.
To avoid injuries, the following safety requirement has to be checked carefully: The welding
torch is designed for a maximum open-circuit DC voltage of 113V (peak value).
Prior to welding, please make sure that your power supply complies with this specification.
In case of outdoor use, always provide appropriate protection against inclement weather
conditions (especially rain and frost)!
Risk instructions:
Protect yourself with suitable clothing for your work. Protect the welding work from
draughts. Do not weld on painted surfaces. Do not weld in a wet environment. Do not
point the torch at yourself. Be very careful, especially when checking the wire output.
Hand Hazards:
Skin must not come into contact with the lance. It is mandatory to wear gloves.
Risk of equipment damage and personal injury:
Take care not to twist the hose and not to rub it against sharp edges. Damage to the
harness insulation must be repaired immediately by qualified personnel.
Protect all control wires from overvoltage to prevent damage to peripheral devices (e.g. robots,
handling equipment, electronic cabinets, power sources and other equipment). Protect all
control wires from overvoltage to prevent damage to peripheral devices (e.g. robots, handling
equipment, electronic boxes, power sources and reels). Do not drive with Do not drive forklifts
or other vehicles over the equipment's cables. In case of emergency, cut off the following
supplies: electric power, compressed air, gas. In addition to the instructions contained in this
manual, ensure that you follow the health and safety
In addition to the instructions contained in this manual, please ensure that you follow
the health and safety rules for the prevention of accidents. Please refer to the regulations
''Welding, cutting and related processes'' (BGV D 1) as well as ''Electrical installations and
equipment'' (BGV A 2).
The ENGMAR welding torches are designed for an indoor use. Do not use the welding torch at
ambient temperatures exceeding 40°C (104°F). The welding torches employ the MIG and MAG
techniques exclusively. For safety reasons, ENGMAR does not authorize any modification
or post-manufacturing alteration to the torch. The non-respect will avoid manufacturing
warranty automatically. The extraction welding torches are to be used with an extraction unit.
The extraction torches must be used with full leather protection of the hose package.
The water-cooled torches must be connected to a cooling system. Attach the blue hose of the
Euro-Connector to the output of the cooling system and the red hose to the cooling system
return.
