The ENGMAR extraction torches must be connected to an extraction unit to ensure extraction
of welding fumes.
All indicated values apply only under the use of an extraction device.
Connect the torch to an extraction unit ENGMAR (AAT or BBM) by a flexible hose P600 which
length does not exceed 10m. On the torch side, the hose is connected on the T-piece besides
the EURO-connector. On the extraction unit side, the hose is connected on the sleeve of the
filtration housing (there may be two entries for the connection of 2 welding torches on the
same extraction unit: Double entry extraction unit).
Please refer to the extraction unit operation manual for further information.
In order to optimize the performance of the torch and to prolong the life of the equipment,
periodic maintenance is recommended. The frequency of maintenance checks depends on
the intensity of use.
Parameters for liquid-cooled manual or robotic welding torches according EN 60974-7.
For cleaning the torch head up to the gas diffuser without disassembling the head parts,
we recommend the use of the ENGMAR squaring key. For cleaning the gooseneck and
the handle, please disassemble the head parts and the handle and use a brass swab for
cleaning. Be careful not to damage the gooseneck during cleaning. To help ensure trouble-
free functioning, the following inspections should be made at regular intervals:
- General visual inspection of the welding torch for any sign of damage or wear
- Check all removable connectors to ensure that they are properly seated.
- Replace the following items as needed: insulating inserts, contact tips, gas nozzle and all
other consumables
