By connecting the breast pump to the Medela Family™ platform you can automatically
transfer your pumping data (session length, phases & levels) and manually input the amount
of milk expressed.
To benefit from the features of the platform you need to create an account in Medela Family™.
Installing the Medela Family™ app
1. Download and install the Medela Family™ app to your mobile device. The app is
available free of charge for Apple
2. Open Medela Family™ on your mobile device and register by means of the app.
Connecting (pairing) the Swing Maxi breast pump
1. Make sure that Bluetooth
2. In Medela Family™, click on "More", navigate to "Pump settings" and follow the set-up and
pairing instructions on the screen, which include the following steps:

Æ The status light is pulsing in blue colour to show that the breast pump is ready for pairing
with your Bluetooth
4. Successful pairing will be indicated with the blue light being on steadily for two seconds.
5. After initial setup, the status light will turn off.
6. When reconnecting to Medela Family™ the status light changes to blue colour for two
seconds.
• The Swing Maxi breast pump has the ability to store your last 30 pump sessions in its
memory. If the pump is not connected prior to session 31 your history will be overwritten
with new session data.
• When connected to the pump, your Medela Family™ account will log an infinite number of
historical sessions.
• Swing Maxi uses Bluetooth
electronic devices when flying.
Removing the Swing Maxi breast pump from your mobile device
1. Navigate through the Medela Family™ platform.
2. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove (unpair) your Swing Maxi breast pump.
