High temperatures
Outer frame of the heat exchanger very hot.
Risk of burning upon contact with the outer frame of the heat exchanger in the
event of very high operating temperatures for the fluids contained in the circuits.
Install the heat exchanger with heat insulation to avoid burns.
Allow the heat exchanger to cool for at least 30 minutes before touching it
Regularly check the temperature during operation.
Exchanger misuse
The tender data doesn't correspond to the data while the heat exchanger is
running.
Safety not guaranteed and insufficient services.
Carefully read the heat exchanger operating conditions.
Incorrect connection
Phase of reduction in pressure and incomplete draining of the heat exchanger.
Probable contact with hazardous fluids, harmful vapours.
Before carrying out maintenance works, you need to switch off the system.
To reduce fluid pressure, a ventilation valve must be provided between the heat
exchanger and the shut-off valve for both circuits.
Maintenance may only be carried out by specialists who have read the
instruction manual.
Place a container beneath the heat exchanger, the capacity of which is greater
than the fluid that can escape from the heat exchanger.
Improper manual cleaning.
Current losses and damage to the plates.
The plates may have residue from harmful and aggressive fluids.
The plates have sharp edges.
Maintenance may only be carried out by specialists who have read the
instruction manual.
Remove any dirt with brushes (soft bristles) and hot water and with a suitable
solution (depending on the fluid used in the heat exchanger).
