2.5.2 Loss of fluid from the plate package
To open a heat exchanger, carefully follow the instructions in this manual.

The temperature and the pressure of the heat
exchanger do not correspond to the design
specifications.
Check the correct value of the closing rate.
Check that the seals are fitted correctly on the
plate.
Check the seals (as soon as the plate package
has been opened) to see whether they're worn or
damaged.
Make sure that the plates are mounted correctly
and that they are aligned correctly.
2.5.3 Internal leakages between heat exchanger circuits and mixing of fluids
Immediately contact the creator/manufacturer of the system.

Check whether the pipes are connected to the heat
exchanger in accordance with the circulation plan
that is on the heat exchanger.
Check each plate for holes and grooves.
Make sure that the plates are mounted in the
correct order.
2.5.4 Increased pressure loss or temperature change

The pressure loss is higher than the design
specification.
The temperatures are correct, but the pressure loss
is still too high.
The temperatures no longer correspond to the
original values.
The heat exchanger is cleaned but the pressure
loss is too low.

Only produce the intended operating conditions.
Plan suitable instruments for identifying the
conditions into your system.
Lower the pressure and bring the closing rate to the
right value.
Insert the seals in their correct place.
Replace the damaged seals.
Mount the plates in the correct order and
orientation.

Secure the pipe properly.
Replace damaged plates.
Mount the plates in the correct order.

Check the accuracy of the measuring instruments.
Clean the heat exchanger.
If the plates are clean, something could be
blocking the connections or the input channel.
We recommend testing the circulation of the water
in the opposite direction.
A contaminant could reduce the performance of
the heat exchanger. Clean the heat exchanger.
Check the operation of the pumps.
