Initial Operation
First, the unit must be vented:
1. Do not mount the adapter on the vehicle but con-
nect only to the filler hose 1 and hold over a collect-
ing container.
2. Set lock shut-off valve 2 to the «filling» position.
3. Switch device on (power switch 4 to «ON» posi-
tion) and push the start button 3 (pump begins to
feed).
4. Hold the adapter over the collecting container until
the brake fluid that emerges is bubble-free.
5. With the pump running, uncouple the adapter and
switch the device off (power switch 4 to «OFF» po-
sition).
6. The device is now ready for operation. The pressure
portion of the unit is bubble-free.
Mount the Adapter
Screw the adapter supplied onto the threads (D 43 mm)
of the brake fluid reservoir.
Or mount the adapter that fits in each case (see Adapter
List) according to the instructions on the brake fluid res-
ervoir.

Accessories illustrated or described are in some cases not in-
cluded with the unit.
Work Steps:
1. Connect the filler hose 1 to the already mounted
adapter.
2. Set lock shut-off valve 2 to the «filling» position.
3. Set power switch 4 to «ON» position.
4. Press the start button 3 (the pump starts; initially
somewhat noisy, as no fluid is being fed yet, but
shortly after the pump will hum quietly).
5. The pump builds up its operating pressure (2 bar
max.).

brake fluid bleeding or replacing process that the actu-
ation distance of the brake or clutch pedal is too long or
the pressure build-up is too «soft», the bleeding process
must be repeated after several strong operations of the
brake or clutch equipment.
