Limit 5100 measure thickness of coating. E.g. paint, plastic, porcelain enamel, copper, zinc,
aluminium, chrome galvanizing layer on magnetic and non- magnetic materials.

OPERATION
On or manual OFF. Push the Ө-button.

The instrument will be auto-calibrate so always keep the probe away from any metal
for 3 seconds after power on.
2.
Select magnetic or non-magnetic material with N/NF button. The display indicate Fe
for magnetic material or NFe for non-magnetic material.
Select µm for reading in 1/1000 mm.

Place the probe on an layer to be measured. Read the coating thickness on the
display.
5.
For next measurement lift the probe more than 10 mm and repeat the measurement.
CALIBRATION
1.
Place the probe on an uncoated area.
2.
Push the ZERO button.
3.
Lift the probe.
4.
Select a calibration foil according to your measurement range. Measure the calibration
foil on the uncoated area.
Lift the probe and adjust with the ▲▼buttons the value on the display to same value

as foil.
6.
Repeat the test measurement and adjust the value until the result is correct. It is
recommended that calibration is made on same material as to be measured.
REPLACE BATTERY
When battery symbol shows on the display.
Remove the battery lid on backside and replace with 4 pcs 1.5 V batterys type AAA.
