4. Operation
4.6 Uncoupling of the semi-trailer
• Park the vehicle on a surface flat and hard enough to not yield
with the weight of the load distributed between the res and
pedestals of the landing legs;
• Apply the semi-trailer's parking;
• Disconnect the pneuma c hoses and electrical socket before
star ng to uncouple;
• Lower the landing gears un l they support the en re load of
the semi-trailer, taking care to not separate the top surface of
the Fi h Wheel from the skid plate of the semi-trailer;
• Open the Fi h Wheel (chapter 4.3);
• Drive the tractor vehicle forward un l completely uncouple
from the semi-trailer;
• A er uncoupling, the Fi h Wheel will automa cally assume
the posi on ready for coupling.

5. Servicing
5.1 Semi-trailer skid plate
To ensure a long service life and safe opera on, the skid plate of the
semi-trailer res ng on the Fi h Wheel must meet the following
requirements:
• Maximum wear and/or warping of 2mm. If it exceeds this limit,
the plate must be replaced to prevent premature wear of the Fi h
Wheel surface;
• Ensure that the reinforcements are adequate for the applica on;
• Flat and smooth surface, with no weld protrusions;
• Front and sides without sharp edges;
• Complete support on the surface of the Fi h Wheel.
