5. INSTALLATION
How to connect the wiring to the terminal
CAUTION
When connecting the power cable make sure that the polarities are
respected.
• Faulty wiring may cause not only abnormal operation but also damage
to the electronic board of the unit (PCB).
• When stripping the covering of a main cable, always use a special tool
(wire stripper).
• The peeling of the covering of the connection cable must be 10 mm. If
it is shorter, a faulty contact may occur, if on the contrary it is longer, a
short circuit may occur.
• Use crimp terminals with insulated sleeves, as shown in the figure
below, to connect to the terminal block.
• Fasten the crimp terminals firmly to the cables, using a special tool, so
that the cables do not become loose.

• Insert the terminals securely into the terminal block and tighten the
terminal screws to the specified tightening torques, otherwise
abnormal overheating may occur which could cause serious damage
inside the unit.

WARNINGS
For single-phase unit (EH0618DC, EH1018DC, EH1218DC, EH1618DC)
the nominal voltage is 230V ~ 50 Hz.
For three-phase unit EH1718D3 the nominal voltage is 400 V ~ 50 Hz
The power supply is three-phase (L1, L2, L3) + neutral (N). The
incorrect connection of the neutral (N) leads to the failure of
some internal components.
Before switching on the unit, check that the supply voltage is within the
range +/- 10% of the rated voltage.
Where the voltage is low and it is difficult to start the air-water heat
pump, contact your electricity supplier for the corresponding adjustment.
Note: Make sure to check the permissible supply voltage even when the
unit is operating at maximum load!
