Safety Instructions
•
Use the rollator only when it is in perfect condition. Do not use a defective rollator!
•
Ensure the rollator is fully unfolded and the seat is locked before use.
•
The ends of the handles must point parallel to the ground. Check the secure fitting of the wing screws and
the correct height adjustment before using the rollator.
•
Test the stability of the rollator before gently placing your full weight on it.
•
Test the brakes before each use and always use both right and left brakes simultaneously. If the locking
brakes are engaged, the wheels should not turn. If they do, the brakes/locking brakes need to be readjusted.
•
Monitor tire wear! Heavily worn tires can affect the rollator's braking effectiveness. Replace damaged parts
through your dealer.
•
A rollator is not a wheelchair; it is strictly a walking aid. Do not be pushed while sitting on the seat board!
•
Always sit on the seat board with the brakes engaged; do not drop onto the rollator seat.
•
The rollator must not be used as a seat in vehicles such as trains or buses!
•
Use the rollator only on even surfaces—never on stairs or high edges! To ensure stability and prevent
accidents, all four wheels must remain in contact with the ground during use.
•
Always hold both handlebars to maintain balance.
•
The rollator must not be carried by detachable parts or brake cables.
•
Exercise caution when unfolding and folding the rollator—there is a risk of pinching!
•
Do not hang bags on the handles—there is a risk of tipping!
•
Do not overload the rollator (maximum luggage load: 4-5 kg).
•
The maximum user weight is 130 kg.
•
Do not make any structural changes to the rollator without consulting your dealer or Rehaforum Medical
GmbH beforehand.
Cleaning
Clean and disinfect the rollator regularly, e.g., daily. Before passing the rollator on to another person, thorough
cleaning and disinfection are mandatory. Use a mild soapy solution without abrasive additives and a soft cloth.
Disinfection can be done using commercial products according to the manufacturer's instructions. Do not use
abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents, high-pressure cleaners, or steam cleaners. Ensure that no dirt accumulates on
the tires or brakes. Use a soft brush and warm water to remove dirt. Also, avoid cleaning fluid from entering the
frame tubes to prevent corrosion.
Maintenance
The Actimo® Basic rollator should be serviced annually by your authorized dealer.
This involves checking the stability of the frame, the strength of the attachable parts, and the tightness of all screws,
which may need adjustment as required.
All screws must be tightened securely. Worn-out, damaged, or broken parts must be replaced immediately.
Functional Issues:
If you notice decreased brake power, wheel resistance, unstable wheel movement, or other issues such as rust on
the frame, contact your authorized dealer. Do not use a defective or damaged rollator!
Reuse
The rollator is suitable for reuse. Before passing it on to another user, the rollator must undergo inspection, cleaning,
disinfection, and servicing by an authorized dealer.
If parts of the rollator are damaged or destroyed, they must be replaced with new ones. It is advisable to replace the
wheels with each user change. Tighten all loose screws and nuts.
The product must be in perfect condition before reuse.
Reusing the rollator is prohibited if irreparable damage to the rollator, such as a bent frame, is detected!
The instructions for use should be handed over with each user change.
