Press the TUNER/BAND button to select the band.
You can also select the tuner by pressingthe TUNER/BAND
button with the power off, After the power comes on, press it
again as followsto select the band.

Press the .<.< DOWN or =,,_, UP button to select a
station.
Each time it is pressed, the frequency changes.
When a stationis received, TUNE is displayedfor 4 seconds.
During FM steceoreception, ((€@}))isdisplayed.
To search fo("a station quickly (Auto search)
Keep the 4.< DOWN or P._. UP buttonpresseduntilthe'tuner
starts searching for a station. Aftertuning in to a station,the
search stops.
The search may not stop at stationswith very weak signals.

When an FM stereo broadcast is noisy
Press the FM MODE button _Dnthe remote control to display
MONO. _ I_1
Background noise is reduced, though reception is monaural.
To restore stereo reception, press the FM MODE button again to
extinguish MONO.
To change the AM tuning Interval
The AM tuning intervalis factory-set to 10 kHz.
Ifyouuse thisunitin an area where the frequency allocationsystem
is 9 kHz, change the AM tuninginterval.
Withthe TUNER function selected,pressthe POWER buttonwhile
pressing the TUNER/BAND button. To reset the interval, repeat
thisprocedure.
When the AM tuning interval is changed, all preset stations (see
page 44) are cleared. Tile preset stations have to be set again.
