. Preparing the air fryer
Remove all packaging, stickers and plastic wrap from the appliance.
Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, dry and level surface.
Pull both fryer drawers (15/18) out of the appliance.
Rinse both fryer drawers and frying inserts (13/14) with hot water. Dry the parts
thoroughly.
Take hold of each frying insert (13/14) by the handle (20) and place it in the fryer
drawer horizontally on the base of the drawer.
Only connect the air fryer to a properly installed, earthed and fused socket. The
local mains voltage must match the voltage stated in the technical specifications
for the appliance.
The air fryer emits an acoustic signal; all buttons and symbols light up briefly and
then go out again. The standby button
When using the appliance for the first time, odour or smoke may devel-
op due to manufacturing residues. However, this is not dangerous and
will quickly disappear. Run the appliance for 30 minutes at the highest
temperature setting for both fryer drawers and before using it for the
first time.
Use the Dual Cook function for this (see '8.3. Using the Dual Cook
function' on page 194).
