WARNING
If the blade jams on an electrical cord or line, DO
NOT TOUCH THE BLADE! IT CAN BE LIVE AND
DANGEROUS. Do the steps below:
1. Hold the insulated rear handle or put the machine
down and away from you.
2. Disconnect the battery from the battery pocket.
Then disconnect the cable before removing it from
blade.
4.1
ON/OFF BUTTON
Push this button to turn power on and off for the
machine.
Green light on: the electrical circuit of the machine is
on (ON). The machine prepares to operate.
NOTE
If you do not use the machine for more than 60 s, the
machine will turn off.
Lights off: the electrical circuit is off (OFF).
IMPORTANT
Do not keep your finger on the button when you move
the machine to prevent accidental start.

START THE MACHINE

2. Push and hold the handle switch with one hand.
3. Pull the trigger with the fingers of the other hand.

from low to high.

1. If the blade becomes blocked by a branch, push the
anti-jamming button; the blade will reverse and the
branch will be released.

FAULT INDICATOR
1. The fault indicator will light during operation if the
machine experiences a problem or has become
damaged.

TURN THE REAR HANDLE

Use the handle rotation latch to adjust the rear handle
to different positions for easier cutting of different hedge
faces.
1. Pull the handle rotation latch and turn the rear
handle.
2. Release the handle rotation latch until it locks into
position.

Do not push the machine through heavy shrubbery.
This can cause the blade to become blocked. If the
blades become covered with shrubbery,
1. push the anti-jamming button or
2. stop the machine.
3. remove the battery pack.
4. remove the blockage.

Do not try to cut too large stems or twigs.
•
Cut the new growth with a wide sweeping action so
that the stems are put directly into the blade.
•
You can use a string to adjust the height of the
hedge.
1. Stretch a piece of string along the hedge at the
desired height.
2. Cut the hedge immediately above this string.
3. Cut the side of a hedge until it will be narrower at
the top. More of the hedge will come into view in
that way.

MAINTENANCE
Do not let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based
materials touch the plastic parts. Chemicals can
cause damage to the plastic and make the plastic
unserviceable.
