Cleaning the lawnmower (Fig. 1)
Cleaning with a garden hose is only recommended at low
pressure. A high-pressure cleaner is not suitable for cleaning
the lawnmower.
Unhook the grass collection basket (16) and brush it out with
a hand brush. You can also roughly clean the housing of the
lawnmower with the sweeper. For larger soiling, you can wipe
the lawnmower with a damp cloth.
NOTE
Before tilting the lawnmower, empty the fuel tank fully using
a fuel extraction pump (not included in the scope of deliv-
ery).
Do not tilt the lawnmower beyond 90 degrees.
1. It is best to tilt the lawnmower backwards. Make sure that
the spark plug (12a) is pointing upwards. If the spark
plug (12a) points downwards, oil can leak out and cause
major damage to the engine and carburettor.
2. Alternatively, you can tilt the product on its side, but you
must make sure that the air filter cover (9) is on the upper
side.
3. Clean the underside of the lawnmower with a spatula
and hand brush. The spatula helps to remove coarse and
larger plant debris from the area of the blade (19).
Cleaning the underbody is easier and more thorough im-
mediately after use. Then dirt and plant residues are still
fresh and can be loosened more easily.
4. If necessary and if the dirt is difficult to remove, you can
also use a special cleaner. Do not use aggressive clean-
ing products such as cold cleaners or white spirit.
5. Check that the grass ejection is clear of grass residues
and remove these if necessary.

Transport
WARNING
Danger of injury and burning!
The product can start unexpectedly and cause injuries.
Switch off the motor before carrying out any cleaning or
maintenance work.
Allow the motor to cool down.
Disconnect the spark plug connector from the spark
plug.
NOTE
For transport, the cutting height must always be set in the
highest position.
1. Empty the fuel tank using a petrol extraction pump (not in-
cluded in the scope of delivery) into a collection container.
2. Drain the motor oil of the warm motor.
3. Clean the cooling fins of the cylinder and the housing.
4. Fold in the upper push bar (3) (see 15.2).
5. Wedge a few layers of corrugated cardboard between the
upper push bar (3) and lower push bar (6) and the en-
gine to prevent any chafing.
6. The product must be secured against tipping and slipping
during transport in vehicles in order to prevent damage
and injuries.

15.1
Preparing the lawnmower for long-
term storage
WARNING
Do not remove the fuel in enclosed spaces, near fire or
when smoking. Petrol fumes can cause explosions and fire.
1. Empty the fuel tank using a petrol extraction pump.
2. Start the engine and let it run until the remaining fuel is
used up.
3. Store fuel in tanks specifically designed for this purpose.
4. Change the oil at the end of every season.
5. Perform an oil change.
6. Remove the spark plug connector (12) from the spark
plug (12a). Remove the spark plug (12a) with a spark
plug wrench (not included in the scope of delivery).
7. Fill the cylinder with approx. 20 ml of oil from an oil can.
8. Pull the pull starter slowly so that the oil protects the in-
side of the cylinder.
9. Screw the spark plug (12a) back in.
10. Clean the cooling fins of the cylinder and the housing.
