• It is forbidden to feed the equipment with any liquid other
than drinking water.
• It is forbidden to put any products other than cooking salt
(NaCl) and water in the salt container.
13) EQUIPMENT DISPOSAL
Any waste must be disposed according to the applicable nor-
ms.
The water softener was built with non-hazardous materials
like polymers and stainless steel, and they must be disposed
according to the applicable norms.
Do not dispose resins in household drains. The resins are not
biodegradable.
They are classified as non-hazardous waste, and must be
disposed accordingly (code CER 190905).
14) LIST OF DISPLAY ALARMS
• E1
The valve can't find the correct position.
When this error appears, check whether the camshaft rotates
or if it is stationary.
1. If the camshaft rotates:
- Check whether the magnetic reader is in the correct posi-
tion or if it is broken (fig. 9, G);
- Check whether the cable or the connector connecting the
timer to the magnetic reader are connected correctly or if
they are damaged (fig. 9, H, 8 D);
- Make sure the camshaft is assembled correctly and is not
inclined;
- Check whether the magnets are all inserted in the cam-
shaft (fig. 9, E).
2. If the camshaft does not rotate:
- Check if the cable connecting the motor and the timer is
disconnected or damaged (fig. 8 C, fig. 9 D).
- Make sure the motor is not out of order or hindered in its
movements (fig. 9, D).
14.1 FLASHING RED LED
This alarm indicates that the battery must be replaced.
To remove the battery (fig. 8, F), disconnect the power supply
to the softener, remove the rear part of the cover, then slide
the front part of the valve upwards.
Remove the 4 fixing screws of the board and replace the
battery (CR1220.3V).
Once the battery is replaced, set again time and date (see
paragraph 4.3).
15) PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
Some solutions to fix the problems that might arise are propo-
sed in the following tables.
The most common cause of problems is the wrong installation
of the drain pipe as well as the overflow pipe. We strongly
recommend to take particular care when positioning them
during installation.
A clogged drain pipe or a small drain basin might prevent salt
water sucking from the brine tank, thus causing over-flowing
of water.
Moreover, we suggest to not connect the drain pipe and the
overflow pipe to the same drain basin as, in case of clog-
ging, water might flow back in the overflow pipe causing over-
flowing from the brine tank.
It is advisable to have the salt alarm switched on when
the softener is in service. This will help to prevent pro-
blems and guarantee maximum efficiency and smooth
operation
