PROBLEM
The softener is in "Salt Alarm" mode, the
LED is on and there is no salt in the brine.
The water softener is in "Salt Alarm" mode
and the LED is on but salt is present in the
brine.
The water softener is in ''Salt Alarm'' mode
but salt is present in the brine and the water
level is excessive.
The softener does not regenerate automa-
tically.
The softener regenerates at the wrong time.
Brine suction failure (the softener will acti-
vate salt alarm).
The brine tank becomes too full.
- If overfilling occurs during regeneration,
salt alarm will be activated.
- If the excessive filling occurs when the
machine is operating.
Water softener salt consumption is higher
or lower than expected.
After regeneration, water is not softened.
The water softener dispenses salt water:
- If it only happens once.
- If it is a recurring problem.
The anti-flooding device intervened
to block the excessive flow of water
in the brine tank.

SOLUTION
Check the presence of salt in the brine. If it is missing, insert it and start a
regeneration (see paragraph 7).
Clean the electrodes (see paragraph 10.1 points 7 and 8).
Check that the brine water level covers the salt grid (fig. 1, F). If the water
level is too low, increase the value P7, P6 (see paragraph 5).
Clean the ejector and its filter (see paragraph 10.1 points 4 and 5).
Check that the drain hose is not crushed or blocked (fig.6).
Check that the softener can suck the water from the brine tank.
Check that the power supply is connected (fig. 10, A, B).
Check that the P1 value is not 0 (see paragraph 5).
Check the values display of the current time and the regeneration time (see
paragraph 5, values display P3, P4, P8 and P9).
- Check that the network pressure is at least 2bar.
- Check that the drain hose is not blocked or crushed (fig. 6, A).
- Clean the ejector (fig. 11, B) (see paragraph 10.1).
- Check that the valve does not suck air near the fittings (fig. 12 C, fig.13
C).
- Make sure the drain pipe isn't blocked or flattened (fig. 6, A).
- Make sure that there is no air intake where there are the quick joints (fig.
13, C).
- Clean the injector (fig. 11, B) (see paragraph 10.1).
- Check that operating pressure is at least 2 bar.
- Check the values P6 and P7 (see paragraph 5).
- Make sure there are no leaks between upper part and tank (fig. 1, C and
D).
- Make sure water does not seep in the brine tank from the brine pipe (fig.
13, C).
Check values P6 and P7 (see paragraph 5).
- Check salt presence in the brine tank, in case the salt alarm is not on (see
paragraphs 5.6 and 5.7.2).
- Check correct start of the mixing screw, in case the salt alarm is on (fig. 3,
M) (see paragraph 8).
This problem may be caused by a lack of hydric pressure during regene-
ration, thus preventing correct rinsing. Start the resin rinse program (see
paragraph 7.4).
Increase the B5 time in the EXTRA-RINSE by few minutes (see paragraph
5.5, tab. 3).
- Make sure that the water system pressure is at least 2 bar.
- Check that the drain pipe is not blocked (fig. 6, A).
- Clean the injector (fig. 11, B) (see par. 10.1, "PERIODIC MAINTENANCE")
- Check that the softener does not suck air near the fittings.
