The optionally available radio is locate in the ceiling console.
See the manufacturer's operating instructions for operating the
radio.
Operation with a bridged seat contact switch
The seat contact switch can be bridged to allow using the work
hydraulic system (PTO) when the driver's seat is not occupied.
This allows e.g. the suction hose to be used when nobody is sit-
ting on the driver's seat.
This function is only possible in working mode, see chapter
Bridging the seat contact switch.

CAUTION
Read the operating instructions for attachments!
When using attachments or pulled devices and trailers prior to in-
itial startup, read the corresponding operating instructions and
follow them.
Pay attention to permissible loads, see chapter Technical data.

Safety checks before startup
DANGER
Risk of accident and injury due to faulty vehicle
Do not start up the vehicle if one point from the safety check is
not fulfilled but rather repair the vehicle.
Note
Perform the recommended safety checks each time before using
the vehicle.
Device carrier safety check
Check the following points before each startup:
1. Release the transport lock, see chapter Release the transport
lock at the articulated joint
2. Check the cleanliness of the hydraulic connections
3. Check the hydraulic lines for leaks
4. Check the hydraulic oil level, see chapter Checking the hy-
draulic oil level and topping up the hydraulic oil
5. Check the engine oil level, see chapter Checking the engine
oil level
6. Check the coolant level, see chapter Checking the coolant
level and topping up the coolant
7. Check the coolant for sufficient antifreeze if a danger of frost
exists
8. Check the electrical cables for damage
9. Check that all nuts and bolts are securely seated
10.Check the vehicle, engine and radiator grille for damage
11.Check the cleanliness of the engine air filter
12.Check the cleanliness of the cab dust filter
13.Check the fluid level in the windscreen washer reservoir, see
chapter Filling the wiping water container
14.Type pressures and tyre wear
In the vehicle
15.Ease of movement of the accelerator pedal
16.Are the working hydraulics (PTO) switched off?
17.With the ignition switched on: Do the charge indicator and oil
pressure warning lights light up?
Start the engine and check the following:
18.Do the charge indicator and oil pressure warning lights go
out?
19.Are the temperature indicator and fuel level indicator function-
ing?
20.Are the lighting system, travel direction indicator and flasher
system functioning correctly?
Safety checks on the vacuum sweeper
Note
Perform this safety check in addition to the device carrier safety
check.
