We recommend that you use two batteries with the same capacity, with at
least 7.5 Ah (ideally 12.0 Ah) and the same level of charge.
If only one battery is used or batteries with less than 7.5 Ah capacity, only
80% of the motor power is available.
Open the battery cover and hold it open.
Push the battery into the battery compartment until you hear the lock engage
V1.
Ensure that the lock moves freely and engages cleanly.
Close the battery cover. Ensure that the cover closes automatically. Dirt and
grass residue can prevent this and must therefore be removed.
Removing the battery (figure F + N2)
Switch off the motor F.
Open the battery cover and hold it open.
Press the release button on the motor unit (1) and remove the battery from
the battery compartment (2) N2.
Close the battery cover. Ensure that the cover closes automatically. Dirt and
grass residue can prevent this and must therefore be removed.

BEFORE INITIAL USE
Check all screw connections for a tight fit. Tighten the screws, if necessary. You
must check the fastening of the cutter bar in particular (see chapter "Maintenance
of the cutter bar").
The blade fastening screw must always be tightened by an authorised workshop.
If the blade screw is tightened excessively or insufficiently, blade fastening and
cutter bar may be damaged or get loose, which can lead to serious injuries.
The lawn mower is fitted with a motor stop device.
Before using the equipment for the first time, make sure that the motor stop safety
control bar is working perfectly. When the safety control bar is released, the cutter
bar must come to a standstill within 3 seconds.
After release, the safety control bar must always return to the position shown in the
"Description of components" diagram.
If this is not the case, it must be checked immediately by an authorised workshop.
Risk of injury!
If the stopping time of the blade is longer, stop using the device and take it to an
authorised workshop.
Measuring the stopping time
After starting the motor, the blade rotates and a wind noise can be heard.
The stopping time corresponds to the duration of the wind noise after the motor
has been stopped; it can be measured with a stopwatch.
Machine safety and protective devices must not be manipulated or disabled.
Make sure that all protective devices have been attached properly and are not
damaged.
Charging the battery (figure W2)
The handling of the charger and battery/batteries is
described in the relevant separate operating
instructions. In particular, read and follow the safety
information! Charge the battery/batteries completely
before initial use! W2
All safety information concerning the handling, storage,
safekeeping, transportation and disposal of the lithium-ion
batteries, as well as first aid measures and measures for
extinguishing fires can be found in the "Product safety data
sheet" on www.sabo-online.com in the operating instructions
area.

SWITCHING STANDBY MODE ON/OFF (FIGURE A2 +
N2)
You must switch on standby mode in order to work with the mower.
Beforehand, please ensure that
there are one or two charged batteries in the battery compartment (see
chapter "Inserting the charged battery"),
Switching on standby mode (figure A2)
Press the on/off button (1).
The LED on the motor unit lights up green.
To mow, start up the blade motor within 120 seconds of switching on
standby mode (see chapter "Starting the blade motor").
To protect the battery or batteries, standby mode is switched off
automatically if the blade motor is not started within 120 seconds.
The LED on the motor unit goes out.
If the LED lights up in another colour, this is a fault that must be rectified straight
away (see chapter "Fault indicator") or contact an authorised specialist workshop.
