IMPORTANT
For cleaning and maintenance work, switch off the motor unit. To do this,
switch off standby mode (see chapter "SWITCHING STANDBY MODE
ON/OFF") and remove the batteries (1.), only then should you tilt the mower
upwards (2.) O. If it is necessary to place the mower on its side, place it on
the left side and not the right side, as otherwise the motor start on the upper
section of the bar might be actuated.
IMPORTANT
Never use a pressure cleaner or ordinary water jet to clean the motor.
Damage or expensive repairs can be the consequence.
The regular implementation of the prescribed maintenance and care work are the
prerequisite for a permanent and fault-free functionality of the motor and also the
basic requirement for any guarantee claims.
The motor should be kept clean, particularly on the outside, and the battery
compartment and ventilation slits must always be kept free from foreign bodies
(e.g. grass residue).
Perfect cooling can only be ensured when ventilation slits are always clean and
free from foreign bodies.
Cleaning and replacing the air filter (figure W + W1)
IMPORTANT
Never let the motor start or run whilst the air filter is removed.
Turn the locking switch on the air filter anticlockwise according to the symbol
(1) W.
Remove the air filter W1.
Clean the filter insert (2) every 50 operating hours W1.
In case of minor contamination, tap out gently on a smooth surface. In case
of severe contamination or damage, renew the filter(s). Do not wash out or
blast out the filter using compressed air and do not oil it.
After cleaning or replacement, insert the filter insert (2) into the air filter
plate (1).
The material must lie flat on all sides without any creasing or folds W1.
Insert the air filter correctly into the motor unit.
Press the locking switch on the air filter and turn it clockwise according to the
symbol (2) to lock the air filter in place W.
In the case of unfavourable operating conditions (severe formation of dust),
cleaning is required after every mowing job. Replace the filter insert annually or
every 100 operating hours.
(For filter insert order no., see chapter "Original spare parts and accessories")
