5.13 P Clamp special functions
Find below a short description of the procedure for the
selection of special functions relevant to "p" machines
only.
5.13.1 Power Clamp Off Mode
On machines with automatic clamping the Power
Clamp pedal can be disabled.
The action of the Power Clamp is no longer needed
to mount and remove wheels when they are fi xed
using the optional clamping devices installed in place
of the machine standard Power Clamp device.
To preserve machine parts and the devices, in these
cases the clamping pedal must be disabled.
Activating the Off Mode
To activate the Off mode, disabling Power Clamp
release, proceed as follows:
• Press and hold down for at least three seconds
both the "FINE" (8, Fig. 5-45) and the "Weight
Positioning Mode" (9, Fig. 5-45) keys, an acoustic
signal indicates that the setting has been carried
out.
Note: The Power Clamp pedal is now no longer
enabled and if attempts are made to
activate it error message E 21 will appear

Disabling the Off Mode
To disable the Off mode, enabling normal Power Clamp
operation, proceed as follows:
• Press and hold down for at least three seconds
both the "FINE" (8, Fig. 5-45) and the "Weight
Positioning Mode" (9, Fig. 5-45) keys, an acoustic
signal indicates that the setting has been carried
out.
The function setting is saved automatically into the
permanent memory retaining its status at every next
machine restart.
The condition can only be changed with the procedure
described above.
