Disassembly and cleaning of the feeder - Z40 ONE
1. Unlock the safety catch and remove the outer hopper by turning it slightly anticlockwise
[Fig. 15-16].
2. Remove the ADVANCED feeder from its axle [Fig. 21].
3. Clean all the components with soap and water. They may also be cleaned in the
dishwasher.
4. Clean the entire hopper ceiling/track with a damp cloth with neutral soap and water [Fig 20].
To assemble the feeder and hopper components, repeat the above process in reverse order.
Note:
The plastic parts of the juicer that are in contact with the fruit may become discoloured from the
pigmentation of the fruit after use. This is entirely normal and does not entail a hygiene or health
problem, nor does it affect the physical properties of the plastic.
5.8.
TIPS FOR USE
The squeezing kit* that is most suitable for the size of fruit to be squeezed should be used
at all times. This will ensure the best performance and will also avoid incidents with your
machine (e.g. if a kit is used that is too small for the fruit, this could cause blockages, feed
faults, irregular cutting or squeezing oils out of the peel).
* The squeezing kits consist of Cups, Balls and Separator. They also require specific
positioning of the lower separator for the Medium or Large kits, and need to be completely
removed for the Small kit and Extra large kit. In the case of the Small kit, a different blade, a
supplement in the inner hopper and funnel are required.
Depending on the thickness of the skin or peel of the fruit to be squeezed, the squeezing
route can be regulated using the washers under the balls*:
-
For extra thin peel or skin, a washer can be added to each of the balls.
-
For very thick peel or skin, the washers should be removed from the balls to avoid
the machine from blocking.
* Only for threaded balls, not available for balls attached with clips.
To make loading fruit easier, open the folding door* on the hopper for the initial load. Close
the door and then fill the basket to the level shown on the front of the hopper.
* Only available with some hopper models.
When squeezing pomegranates, we recommend removing the calyx to optimise squeezing.
Switch the machine off at the power switch at the end of the day [Fig. 01].
5.9.
SAFETY SYSTEMS AND DISPLAY WARNINGS
The machine features several safety systems:
1. If the front cover is not fitted properly, the machine will not start. The display will show
"Error" and the front cover will be shaded and flash.
2. If the ADAPT tray / SERVICE tank is not fitted properly, the machine will not start. The
display will show "Error" and the tray will be shaded and flash.
